I believe these states have not got it right.

A 50cc scooter on car driver licence ,is simply too slow ,to simply to keep for the flow of today’s traffic speed laws, instead if they should change the law from driver a 50cc scooter to 125 cc automatic to be driven a normal car license .

The rising cost of petrol prices would be better time considering alternative form of transportation. These laws should be national .
Current licensing in Australia is a joke ! , we all know it and those in other state that ride “mopeds” know it too.

A 50cc scooter simply does not keep with flow of today’s traffic speed laws. We should change the traffic laws to make a fairer system for everyone , for todays modern society ,that we live in.

The state and federal governments ,should look at changes for automatic scooter restrictions , and invest time and money into how to improve the automatic scooter licensing laws , not just in one state of australia , but to make these laws licensing changes nationally.

The Department of Planning and Infrastructure, Government of Western Australia , Should find easier ways to obtain a automatic scooter 250cc license , faster and easier , by scrapping the practial driving assessment , and introduce a new types of licensing, written tests , motorcyle theory test and the road rules theory test , once you passed the written theory tests, be able to get your bigger automatic scooter 250cc licence .

In Australia, you must have a motorcycle licence to drive a scooter larger than 50cc, but in several European countries and many states in the US a car licence .

In Queensland,Victoria, South Australia , compare to other capital cities of Australia , except for Western Australia ,they have training licensing courses in place, to obtain an automatic scooter license RE- A up to 250cc or R-A open class license above 250cc . Western australia is only capital city ,that have no training licensing courses , to obtain automatic scooter licenses ,like the other capital cities of australia . Western Australia is the only capital city in Australia , that is not keeping with the trend of automatic scooter licenses ,compare to the other capital cities . Western Australia , is so far behind the times of updating their automatic scooter licensing laws , compared to the other capital cities , who already have in place, training licensing courses to obtain RE-A or R- A 250cc licenses.
