So far the resale value has held nicely. Considering the fact that most scooter owners who are serious about their scooters take excellent care of them. I think it's really a matter of personal preference. I love Vespas, but I am going to buy a Buddy this coming spring or summer. It actually is a good value and has a really decent warranty to boot. I have also heard it weathers better, maintenance-wise than Vespas. There is also a really nice comparison between the Vino and the Buddy on the net, I think it is available on modernbuddy.com.
